Much Better Than Any Other OCR Software That I Have Tried

By Rose Sincro

On Friday, June 20, 2014

I have been using Abby FineReader for almost 3 years now, and I have to admit that I am very satisfied with its performance. The program worked so well, and it made a very good job of reading the documents that I scanned. I can say that this one is more accurate compared to my previous OCR package, which came free with a scanner. This program always captures the layout and images correctly, so some post editing may be necessary, but if the objective is to transcribe the text, it will probably work well.

In addition, this program is good for copying text document into Word, so it enables you to make changes if required. Also, it takes care all of the hard copies that you will record on your computer. All in all, this program is suitable for editing physical documents. With this program, you will not have any problems with your work or tasks.

  • Able to read columns and tables
  • Works nicely on tables, even vertical ones

  • Has a hard time distinguishing text from pictures
