A Software That Brings New Look As Well As Rock-Solid Functionalities

By Daren Garius

On Friday, June 27, 2014

Are you fed up with your current PC or laptop looks and you want something new for a change? Windows 8 Professional is a software that will help you out to revolutionize the appearance of your Windows OS. With this edition, it looks similar to Windows Vista and 7 with lots of modifications such as explorer, new boot screen, taskbar and log-in screen. What I also like about this software is that, it is much quicker and steady than the previous versions of Windows.

Moreover, this software also adds many options to customize your PC or laptop with an extensive selection of themes to choose from. However, it can be confusing at first but once you mastered it, I am confident that it is an exceptional software. Overall, Windows 8 Professional Edition is a fantastic software that delivers a stylish look and also solid functionalities to your PC or laptop that can make an excellent impression to everyone.

Pros

  • It has an edgy looks
  • It is fast and stable

Cons

  • It can be confusing at first

Windows 8 Professional Operating System User review by James Meyette

By James Meyette

On Monday, August 4, 2014

Windows 8 was sought to be something much more than what it ended up being upon release there were a lot of bugs and other issues that users had to deal with until the release of 8.1. Even with the release of 8.1 there is a lot to be desired from Windows 8 which says a few things if you consider the fact that Windows 9 is on its way within the next year.

I use Windows 8 both at home and in the office on a daily basis here are some of the things that I noticed when I first started using this Operating System:

The thing that people complained about the most is the new look(Realistically this is just the start menu, but rather than being a menu it envelopes your whole screen upon using it.)

The system settings are hard to find(This is not so, system settings are very accessible)

I feel that the early on version of Windows 8 gave a lot of users a really bad dislike for it but maybe Microsoft will do a better job with Windows 9 it seems that every other Operating System released by Microsoft is a hit or miss.

In conclusion I don't like to follow what every one else says about it, it does have its downfalls but we don't live in a perfect world. Making use of this OS is not difficult once you realize the slight changes.. and that they aren't so bad after all.

Pros

  • Holds up to Microsofts standards
  • Gives the Windows operating system a refreshing new look

Cons

  • Was extremely buggy right out of the box and got a huge amount of people to dislike it

The Biggest Change to the Windows OS since the Launch of Windows 95

By Sam James

On Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Before, I hated Windows 8 because of its negative reviews on the Internet. When I started using it however, things have changed. I unwillingly upgraded from Windows 7 64-bit to Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, but what I was surprised about in the program is that the software installed on my computer for only about an hour. I am so happy because all of my programs, settings, data and important files were conserved. I have been using this app for about five months now, and to tell you the truth I have never experienced any crash, lags or any errors on my computer. It works fine with all of my applications, and the new features and upgrades of it are good. In my perception, this version is a good upgrade. It is very accurate and advanced. Also, the platforms of this software are superior to the previous ones. I highly suggest it!

Pros

  • Better resource management and faster boot time
  • New log-in options and 3G/4G support

Cons

  • The program has no start menu

Review

Windows 8 Professional Edition is the advanced version of the current Microsoft operating system. As well as all the features of the standard Windows 8, it incorporates additional functionality. This software is designed for professionals and domestic users who would like to use advanced apps in their work. You can upgrade to this version if you have Windows XP or later.

As the standard version of Windows 8, this software is based on a completely new look and feel; something that could be a little bit overwhelming for users which are used to the classic Windows interface. This new release has been created from a rock-solid prior version –Win7- that is hard to forget and, although Win8 provides users with a more dynamic experience, it seems that it will take some time to completely accept it.

Besides defending itself from the critics, Windows 8 Professional Edition is designed to offer a better performance compared to Windows 7. Designed for many devices: tablets, laptops and PC, this download can be installed from the same hardware as Windows Vista, XP and 7. And, as in the standard version, the browsing experience is completely new thanks to Internet Explorer 11.

Additional software for your enterprise

Windows 8 Professional Edition features vary compared to the standard version. One of the most appreciable differences is the presence of Windows Media Center which is not found in Windows 8. You can purchase it separately with an additional package, but it is not included. With this function you can reproduce DVDs without installing third-party utilities.

BitLocker and EFS are other functions included in the Pro version. The first one is used to encrypt your disc data or external virtual drives such as USBs; while the second one allows you to encrypt folders or specific files. With Win8 Pro you will be free to include a different operating system and use it as it was installed on your computer hard disk thanks to its VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) support.

Windows 8 Professional Edition mainly supports any kind of function to manage your computer as you want. Other option it incorporates is Hyper-V (Virtual platform) enabling you to run multiple machines in single PC. Along with the option of the remote desktop, with this operating system you can control other computers from the distance.
