Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended is an image editor designed to manipulate pictures in several ways. With this free trial you will be able to use a wide toolset to customize your images, add filters and effects and correct many aspects of your pictures: adjust the color balance, correct brightness and levels, contrast, shadows, and much more.
The layer-based workflow is the same as previous versions, so veteran users should not have any trouble when they use this software. With this new version you will be able to incorporate 3D content in your 2D composites. Doing this, you will manage textures, frames or perspectives and edit them. Additionally, this program supports CAD format, and gives you the ability to control them in 3D space.
How to use this editor
Photoshop may seem a bit overwhelming for the novice user because of the large amounts of elements this program offers, which is why some previous knowledge will be needed in order to use this program correctly. Once you get used to its layer-based workflow and interface, you can either use it for image editing or for more complex tasks. For instance, architects and designers may take advantage of its ability to extract quantitative information from images so that they can analyze them by measuring areas and distances.
If you've never used this program, there are some basic things that you should know. Photoshop is based on layers; this means that there are different “levels” to work with your images. Something placed in the first layer will be affected by every single layer above. This gives you room to play around with layer order or blending modes. Those modes affect the way that pixels are transferred to the layers underneath.
This software includes a vast array of elements ranging from the classic brush or the paint tool to channels and masks. Those will help you to enhance your images or create new contents with ease. For instance, you can turn grayscale data into transparency by creating an alpha channel. Then, you can use this alpha image in After Effects, since all of Adobe’s applications are fully compatible.

One of my favorite hobbies is taking pictures. I am not a professional photographer though but I love taking snaps of everything around me. I am fond of taking snapshots of nature and people. They are the subjects that draw my attention. When my friend learned about my hobby, he recommended that I try Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended. Even though I had hesitations since I am not a techie, I gave it a try. All I can say is that this imaging app can do wonders! What strikes me most about its different features is the option for 3D printing. As the same time, it provides a wide variety of editing functions to produce brilliant images. And since it is included in Creative Cloud, I can easily access my work anytime and anywhere. I can even share it with my colleagues and friends immediately. Other features that I utilize most of the time are smart sharpen, camera shake reduction and perspective warp. These functions help to sharpen and enhance the images.
- Wide selection of editing features
- Program is included in Creative Cloud
- Novice users may find difficulty using it

Adobe Photoshop is one of the finest photo-editing tools from this generation. You can apply it in business ideas or even for personal use. In this update, CS3 extended has a lot to offer and it brings motivating new components. This software adds 3D and motion editing tools that are helpful for personal usage. If you are a promising photographer, I am sure you will like its huge toolbox of features that make digital darkroom work fast and accurate.
I also like how Photoshop made a huge improvement on its features. The vanishing point has new plane functionality. The camera RAW processing now works with JPEG images and vastly increased cloning prowess. I can also now apply video application. I can animate images and export it to any video format.
In my opinion, Photoshop CS3 extended is a very dominant tool that grows with photographers. There may be some steep learning curves on its few features, but there are some tutorials out on the Internet that teach everything about Photoshop that might help you.
- Big improvement on its features
- It has variety of useful tools
- It is confusing for starters
